I just returned from one of the most exciting golf events on earth, the RE/MAX WORLD LONG DRIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS, in Mesquite, Nevada. 20,000 golfers from 47 countries enter various qualifiers around the world to compete for the right to go to this big show. 128 will win the chance to show their skills in the open division on ESPN. I spent countless hours with with 3 rookies this year to fine tune their drivers. Two made it in. Jason Frey advanced through several rounds to advance to the Saturday competion on ESPN, finishing 24th in the world. Stuart Yoshida had some fine long drives finishing in the middle of the pack. Both young men experienced pressure like never before with a golf club in their hands. I am truly proud of their hard work and dedication to compete with the finest in the world, a tiny select few.
